IDS GeoRadar announces the expansion of the IBIS-FM Evo family ground-based radar for slope monitoring with two new products: IBIS-FM Evo Long and IBIS-FM Evo Short
PISA, (Italy), 10 February 2022 — IDS GeoRadar, part of Hexagon, today announces the expansion of the product family IBIS-FM EVO with two new products: IBIS-FM Evo Long and IBIS-FM Evo Short.
IBIS-FM Evo Short and IBIS-FM Evo Long are designed to cover different applications, offer greater installation flexibility and tailored benefits in monitoring performances. With a maximum scan range of up to 5 kilometres, IBIS-FM EVO products are designed to measure submillimetre displacements in real time with the highest data quality.
IBIS-FM Evo Long, features a long version of the IBIS-FM Evo positioner with a 3.2 m scan length which results in an improved cross-range resolution (2.7 m @ 1km). IBIS-FM Evo Long represents the ideal solution for long range monitoring applications when going the long distance with high performances in terms of spatial resolution is key.
IBIS-FM Evo Short, offers a compact design with a 0.9 m short version of the IBIS-FM Evo positioner, translating into an improved transportability and deployment flexibility. With its 38kg positioner, IBIS-FM Evo Short finds its ideal application in short to medium range slope monitoring where handling movements may be frequent.

IBIS-FM Evo Long and IBIS-FM Evo Short are equipped with a powerful radar sensor, combined with a new free-running acquisition technique (patent pending) for improved quality and reliability of the acquired data. Better data means better-informed decisions.
IBIS-FM Evo Long and IBIS-FM Evo Short are compatible with the Guardian slope monitoring software suite for the processing, interpretation and management of radar data.
