RIS One & RIS Plus
Compact and lightweight ground penetrating radar
RIS ONE and RIS PLUS are the most compact and lightweight antennas available on the market. Gain increased acquisition speed through a high stacking factor as well as improved penetration depth with these single or multi-channel radar control unit.
The system is supported by antennas operating in 25 MHz to 2.6 GHz frequency range. Custom solutions are available with the IDS GeoRadar control unit, able to power up multiple antennas connected in chain. The antennas feature:
- Excellent data quality
- Highest flexibility in multi-channel chain connection
- High stacking thereby improving penetration depth
- Wireless link to keep track of the survey path and the location of buried objects;
RIS ONE and RIS PLUS are the ideal solutions for:
- Underground tunnel inspection and condition assessment;
- Bedrock and lithological profiling;
- Fracture characterisation;
- Ground water profiling;
- Foundation and pile measurements;
- Borehole investigations.
Benefits of the RIS ONE and RIS PLUS include:
- Largest antenna gamma in the ground penetrating radar market: A comprehensive set of antennas from 25 MHz to 3.0 GHz, including multi-frequency, borehole and horn antennas ensuring that the right equipment is available for the right application.
- More than eight hours of autonomous use: IDS GeoRadar’s radar control unit has the lowest power consumption in the ground penetrating radar market.
- Flexible: The multi-channel DAD control unit can drive any IDS Georadar antenna and up to eight antennas in chain connection simultaneously enabling the use of custom configurations.
Field to office software
K2 FastWave - Acquisition Software for use in the Field
The acquisition software designed to work with the Radar Control Unit (single or multi-channel) with the K2 FASTWAVE software is able to support the acquisition of up to eight antennas connected in chain. The software is able to show two radargrams simultaneously on the screen in real time during the acquisition phase. K2 FASTWAVE comes with comprehensive tools to customise the acquisition parameters and calibrate the signal of every acquisition channel. Estimate the propagation velocity as well as modify many other parameters directly from the initial interface. K2 FastWave is also able to continuously monitor the status of the system, providing an alarm for every possible malfunction that can happen in the field. Achieve the best results from the survey, mixing longitudinal and transversal scans in the post processing, with a dedicated tool to help you collect data in grid mode. The system can be connected to GPS and is able to record the path in real time and mark anomalies. The data is stored in a dedicated folder and is easy to access in the future post processing phase.
GRED HD Basic post processing software
A modular family of software, GRED HD Basic post processing software is recommended for generic basic post processing analysis. This easy-to-use post processing software enables post processing of data acquired with the IDS K2 FastWave. The software offers general tools and features and can be used for several applications from geology and archaeology to underground utility detection. GRED HD Basic is equipped with basic features and capable of processing the radargram acquired in the field in 2D. This software is recommended for users that need to analyse data in the office and want to maximise interpretation capability. The software is able to show the B-Scan (radargram) acquired. GRED HD Basic applies several types of filters (background removal, gain, mitigation time domain, etc.) to obtain an easier to interpret B-Scan. It is also possible to set filter macros for iterative filtering of the data. Anomalies as well as pipes can be marked directly on the interface. GRED HD Basic is also able to do semi-automatic layering reconstruction and insert core.
GRED HD 3D - Advanced GPR processing and imaging software
An advanced post processing software for 3D and tomographic rendering of acquired data, GRED HD 3D is recommended for pipe and utility mapping and 3D analysis of the subsurface. The software presents a 3D view of the subsurface, with a complete set of options to navigate, cutting and marking anomalies. GRED HD 3D is also able to export 2D plan-view slices of the subsurface from which you can best interpret anomalies and pipes. The pipes and cables detected can be marked with a dedicated tool. Specify a color for each pipe, mark the depth of each and an estimate the dimensions. The marked pipes can then be visible in the 3D view, the 2D tomography slice and the traditional radargram. Enhance the capability of the interpretation when you show multiple radargrams simultaneously.
