PISA, ITALY, 31 July 2026 – IDS GeoRadar, part of Hexagon, today announced a new release of GeoMonitoring, its safety-critical monitoring platform
GeoMonitoring is IDS GeoRadar’s safety-critical monitoring platform: an easy-to-use innovative multi client server solution empowering geotechnical engineers and geologists with a smart view on monitoring data. Building on the foundation laid by GeoMonitoring’s first release in 2025, IDS GeoRadar’s expands its next-generation platform's capabilities and applicability with new key features to master the full monitoring cycle.
A new Desktop App
The initial release established a web platform with a modern multi-user architecture providing a collaborative 3D monitoring environment, a fully interactive deck and a premium user experience.
The latest GeoMonitoring version introduces a new Desktop App, specifically developed to address operational requirements of control rooms. The application supports continuous monitoring workflows with features such as automatic restart, on-screen alarm notifications, and multi-screen management, enabling operators to maintain awareness and visibility of critical monitoring information at all times.
Richer Context for Better Decision Making
GeoMonitoring enhances data interpretation by bringing together multiple sources of information within a single monitoring environment. Now Data Quality and Weather Data Time Series help users evaluate measurement reliability and correlate environmental conditions with displacement behaviour. Integrated panoramic image management further enriches situational awareness by providing visual context directly alongside monitoring data.
