IDS GeoRadar, a Hexagon company, provides products and solutions, based on radar technology, for mining, civil engineering and monitoring applications. The company is a leading provider of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Interferometric Radar solutions worldwide. Since its foundation in 1991, IDS has been a pioneer in the development of multi-frequency and multi-channel array systems, known as Ground Penetrating Radars (GPR), for mapping underground utilities. In 2007, a new revolutionary technology product was launched: IBIS, the first commercial ground based Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR), successfully adopted worldwide for monitoring sub-millimeter ground and structure movements.
Since then IDS GeoRadar is daily committed to delivering best-in-class performance solutions and to the pursuit of product excellence, through the creation of application-specific, innovative and cost-efficient systems for a wide range of applications including mining, utility detection and mapping, civil engineering, geology, archaeology and public safety.
The goal to deliver innovation and quality for higher and safer performances led IDS to the latest introduction - in 2022 - of a new revolutionary patented technology: the Equalized Scrambled Technology (EsT) overturning the traditional definition of GPR for a maximized detection of underground assets.
Ground Penetrating Radars:
IDS GeoRadar has been a pioneer in Ground Penetrating Radar research since the early 90’s. With its 30 years of experience, IDS GeoRadar is today one of the largest global suppliers of GPR products. IDS GeoRadar has developed several GPR systems suitable for a wide range of applications, ranging from deep underground object detection to utility mapping, road and railroad evaluation, structure surveys, etc.
The new Equalized scrambled Technology (EsT) is the latest patented technology introduced by IDS GeoRadar in 2022. EsT is the revolutionary technology setting a new deep in utility detection as it allows to increase penetration depth by 40%-60% compared to other GPR technologies available on the market. With EsT locating buried objects successfully is now free of compromise in choosing between depth range and resolution.
Interferometric Radars:
Interferometric synthetic aperture radar technology provides a unique solution to the problem of monitoring submillimeter ground or structure movements, IDS through its portfolio of InSAR products enables remote, long-range and real-time monitoring and measurement of large areas. Since 2007, when IDS launched the first InSAR radar, this technology is successfully employed for both slope stability monitoring and civil structures monitoring.
